Catering & Banquet Manager
The Catering & Banquet Manager oversees all meetings and catered functions. He has involvement in all production throughout the catered event including service of all food items, bar area set-up and service, and oversees the cleanup and breakdown. He may have to perform the following -----
• Determine the pace and timing of service and anticipate needs and problems.
• Coordinate the room setup and food service setup.
• Plan impressive menus with group leaders.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and order new supplies as required.
• Interact amiably with customers by phone and in person.
• Serve as a liaison between suppliers and clients.
• Negotiate contracts with customers.
• Update the sales files.
• Develop new business through telemarketing and outside sales.
• Initiate and develop quality leads to ensure growth of catering sales.
